What Personal Data We Process
We process only the data necessary for communication, technical assessment, quotation preparation or fulfilment of a possible business relationship.
- identification and contact details, especially name, surname, company, email, phone and country,
- communication content, messages, requirements, technical specifications, drawings and attachments you send to us,
- business data needed for quotations, orders, delivery or invoicing,
- technical data related to website use, where necessary for secure operation of the website.
We do not intentionally request special categories of personal data. Please do not include personal data in technical documentation or attachments unless it is necessary for handling the enquiry.
Purpose of Processing
- responding to enquiries, technical assessment of requirements and preparation of quotations,
- business and technical communication with customers and potential customers,
- preparation, conclusion and fulfilment of orders or contracts,
- compliance with accounting, tax and other statutory obligations,
- protection of legal claims, website security and prevention of misuse.
Legal Basis
We process personal data mainly on the following legal bases under the GDPR:
- performance of a contract or steps prior to entering into a contract when you request a quotation or order production,
- legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries, technical communication, protection of legal claims and secure website operation,
- compliance with legal obligations relating to accounting, tax or record-keeping duties,
- consent, if optional analytics or marketing cookies are introduced in the future. Such cookies are currently not in use.
Retention Period
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose. Enquiries and business communication are kept while the request is being handled and for a reasonable period after the last communication, especially for follow-up technical or commercial communication. If an order or contractual relationship is established, related documents are retained during the cooperation and afterwards for periods required by accounting, tax and archiving laws. Data needed for legal claims may be retained for the applicable limitation periods.
Recipients of Personal Data
Personal data is accessible only to authorised HEST personnel and providers of technical infrastructure needed to operate the website, email communication or business administration. Data may also be provided to accounting, tax, legal or logistics partners where necessary for contract performance or statutory duties. Public authorities receive data only where required by law.
The website currently does not use an embedded Google Maps map. The map link in the footer opens an external service in a new window; after opening that service, processing is governed by the terms of its provider.
Your Rights
As a data subject, you have in particular the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request erasure, restrict processing, receive data portability, object to processing based on legitimate interest and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic.
